AURA Artist in Profile: KEVIN BARKER



Recognised as one of Australia’s legendary lead singers. Kevin Barker born in Sydney was 16 when the voice of Elvis was first heard on Australian radio.  With the invention of Rock n’ Roll a new era of musical groups took to the stage, and within twelve months at only 17 Kevin’s vocal style won him his first talent quest with the Elvis song - Treat Me Nice.   At 19 Kevin went professional and hit the road with his new band ‘The Cobras’. Over the years Kevin has performed and toured extensively throughout Australia including pacific cruise ships, Sydney Entertainment Centre and at Casinos with his band ‘The Beagle Boys’.




                              


Kevin has earned his rock n’ roll stripes with honours performing on stage with Stevie Wright, Bon Scott, The Hollies, Moody Blues, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Herman's Hermits, Johnny O’Keefe, Col Joye, The Delltones, Suzi Quatro, Phil Emmanuel, John Rowles and many, many more rock legends.  
 


        

Still on the road performing with the 'Beagle Boys and Beagle Babes' Kevin’s sought after appearances as Elvis, Johnny O’Keefe and Joe Cocker in tribute showcases are always spine tingling with his ever powerful tenor voice and enormous repitoire of old and modern rock classics.

In 2010 Kevin became an AURA artist and in five months with his award winning producer 'Mykl Lozin' released two electrifying albums of pure 'Elvis' classics destined to become a favourite for any music fan who loves the King.
